The Associate in Arts is a program that serves a dual purpose.  It provides the first two years of general study to students who plan to transfer to a baccalaureate program and work toward a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science.  (see transfer information).  It also provides two years of general studies to individuals who desire a structured, non-technical, degree program to gain employment or to secure a promotion in employment

What can I do with this degree?

With the AA Degree, students would be eligible to transfer into a 4-year Baccalaureate Degree Program in the Liberal Arts Field.  The degree can also provide the foundation for General Education and assist in gaining employment or advancement in employment.

  • Program structured to allow choice of restricted electives that focus on requirements of the transfer program.
  • Completion of the Associate of Arts degree can be beneficial for those that are pursuing entry-level office administration, content writing, and retail sales positions.  It can increase the opportunity for promotion with current employment.
  • Continuing and completing a Bachelor’s Degree in a Liberal Arts Field will open up a variety of employment options.
