Criminal Justice
The field of criminal justice involves the three components of the criminal justice system: police, courts and corrections. The academic discipline also includes study of the juvenile justice system and the extent and causes of crime among adults and juveniles. More About the Program
The Criminal Justice program at BVCTC is one of the programs approved under the West Virginia Invests Grant. Students receive free tuition under the grant program.
The curriculum offers stimulating courses in the basics of criminal justice and includes forensic science courses to ensure students are learning the most up-to-date and relevant material possible.
The instructors are seasoned professionals with decades of experience in various aspects of the criminal justice system and bring that experience with them into the classroom.
BVCTC prepares students to enter the workforce in many professions and has partnered with several 4-year colleges and universities to provide students with a seamless transition to continue their studies in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree.
