Office Administrator
The Office Administrator program is a two-semester certificate program that provides students with training for today’s high-tech office as well as a strong background in office-related skills, including an internship at an area business. Students can earn up to four Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications. This program is 100% online.
Secretaries and administrative assistants held about 3.6 million jobs in 2019-20, and work in nearly every industry. Most secretaries and administrative assistants work in an office setting; however, some may work out of their own homes as virtual assistants.
This program prepares graduates for employment in the administrative field for a variety of positions including:
- Administrative Assistant
- Legal Assistant
- Project Coordinator
- General Office Clerk
- Bill and Account Collectors
- Bookkeeping/Accounting/Audit Clerk
- Patient Accounts Representative
- Admitting Clerk
The Office Administrator certificate program is eligible for WV Invests as well as traditional financial aid, scholarships, apprenticeships, and work study programs.
